Rewards Program

The world is counting on Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to make an impact on breast cancer.  Our impact is not going to be measured in footsteps, but instead will be measured in dollars raised toward finding the cure.  Registration fees pay for the event but personal giving and fundraising is what enables Komen to save lives here locally.  For this reason, please consider the impact you can make as a donor or fundraiser for this year's Race.

It's easy to get started so if you haven't yet started fundraising, now's the time.  If you have started, nice work!  Keep it up, set a goal, and earn some of these amazing prizes for your efforts.  If you need a little extra motivation, dedicate your efforts to someone you know who has been touched by breast cancer.  Invite them to join you on Race Day.  Earning fundraising rewards for your efforts is easy to do.  So, what are you waiting for?  Make an impact.  Start fundraising now.

General:

  • All Fundraising Rewards prize certificates will be emailed so providing a valid email address is essential.  Also, please be sure to include your phone number.
  • When you register online, your own personal webpage is automatically created.  Set your personal fundraising goal then begin inviting friends, family, co-workers, and collegaues to make a donation in your name.
  • Matching gifts through a business will be counted at the time the gift is received at the Affiliate.
  • Fundraising totals do not include registration fees.
  • Donations will be credited to the individual's total and the team's total.
  • Make sure to review your online fundraising page often and report any errors or omissions to us at race@komenbatonrouge.or prior to the April 10 fundraising deadline.

Online:
  • Take full advantage of online fundraising through your participant center - for more information see our How to Fundraise page.
  • Check out Boundless Fundraising through Facebook.
  • Make sure online donors have your personal webpage address, and know how to access your personal fundraising page, which is automatically created when you register.
Offline Donations: (cash or checks received by mail or in person)
  • Collect donations then submit in batches along with a donation collection form that includes your name, phone, email and team name; checks should be written to Komen Baton Rouge Affiliate (see form).
  • We can't combine donations with other participants and can only accept one participant per donation collection form!  If you collected donations with another participant, simply split the amount and fill out two separate donation collection forms.
  • Donations sent to the Affiliate will be posted to your fundraising page (participation center) within 4-6 days; we will verify donations entered as "pending" to count toward your prize total when received by the Affiliate.
