Questions:
What is my user name and password for online registration ?
The Affiliate sent an email to all prior Race online participants on January 31 with your login username and password hint. Note: If you did not include a hint for your password, the email will say "Contact the site administrator" as your hint. Simply follow the procedure from the registeration to reset your password. If you still need help email race@komenbatonrouge.org or call the Race office at 225-246-2977.
Why can’t I register another person using my email address?
A single email address can be used for multiple registrations if entries are made in the same transaction. Since we communicate with participants via email, the registration system will not allow subsequent registrations with a previously entered address. For additional transactions please enter another email address.

What is the final date for team registration?
Team registration must be submitted by February 22: in person at the Affiliate office until 3pm, online by midnight or by mail postmarked by February 22.
Can someone be added to a team after the February 22 deadline?
All team members must be registered by the deadline of February 22 before midnight. After this date, participants should register as an individual and join in the activities of their chosen team.
What is the final date for individual registration?
Participants can register online through March 9 or on-site March 10 (beginning at 7:00am).
Where do I send donations and registration fees?
Please try to register and donate online first! Our mailing address is Komen Baton Rouge Affiliate, P.O. Box 14615, Baton Rouge, LA 70898. Please do not send cash; instead send checks or money orders.
Are pets, inline skates, bikes, motorized scooters, or skateboards allowed at the Race?
For the safety of all participants, pets, inline skates, bikes, scooters, skateboards and pets are not allowed at the Race.
Are strollers and wheelchairs allowed on the Race course?
Yes, however for safety reasons we ask that participants using them line up behind those who are running.
How do I run competitively in Race?
Timing chips are available for $5, can be ordered with your registration and if submitted before Feb 28, will be mailed to you with your t-shirt. Alternatively, timing chips can picked up on Race day at the registration tent.
How can I register online for the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk?
There is no registration option for the Fun Run. Individuals who want to do the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk should select the 5K option when registering online.
How does a breast cancer survivor determine which group to walk with in the survivor ceremony?
An individual is considered a breast cancer survivor from the time of the breast cancer diagnosis. For example, someone diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2003 would be an 8-year breast cancer survivor at the time of the 2012 Baton Rouge Race in March 2012.
Can teams or individuals put up a "tailgating" tent for Race day?
There is a "tailgate" area where teams can put a tent if desired, starting at 4p.m. on Friday March 9. A security guard will be on site Friday night but we cannot be responsible for tents and items left in the area.
Can we sell merchandise for fundraising on Race day?
Teams or individuals are not allowed to sell merchandise on Race day.
Can I obtain a copy of the race registration form via email?
The race registration form is attached.
Will I get my t-shirt before the Race?
We will mail t-shirts to participants who register on or before February 28. Participants who register after this date can pick up their t-shirts on March 6, 7, & 8 at the Affiliate office while supplies last. Those who register after Feb. 28 may receive their shirt before Race day, but we cannot guarantee availability of shirts or sizes.
Who do we make the check payable to?
Please make all checks payable to: Komen Baton Rouge Affiliate. On the check memo line, please include your name or your team name. If it’s clearly marked, you’ll get fundraising rewards!
Can my company pay the registration fees for my corporate team or for individual participants?
Yes. Online registration using a payment code is easy and often results in great team fundraising. Contact the Affiliate at race@komenbatonrouge.org or 225-249-2977 and request a payment code (e.g. authorization for a specific number of participants). A corporate check or credit card can be used to prepay for all registrations at one time. Additional codes can be given for more participants. Each participant will then register online using this code.
What is the registration rate for children under Kids for the Cure?
Registration for children age 12 and under is $15 (early bird) or $20 after February 22.
I signed up online as an individual and I meant to sign up on a team. How do I correct this?
Send an email to race@komenbatonrouge.org with your name and the team name you’d like to be added to no later than February 22.
How many people does it take to constitute a team?
A minimum of 10 individuals is required for a team eligible for team awards.
What happens if I/my team do not meet our fundraising goal?
There are no consequences if your goal is not met; we appreciate all fundraising efforts.
Should I bring money?
Yes. While most food and beverages are complimentary, the Team t-shirt and jambalaya contest are voted on by donations. We will also have Komen Marketplace tent where Komen merchandise will be sold and a raffle for a fabulous copper fountain and sugar kettle.
